Overview:
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a system of guided actions which can result in intense physical and emotional release. Breathwork is a transformational process that combines an ancient two-step breathing technique with contemporary, upbeat, positive music to create an incredible physical and spiritual experience. It is a simple, safe, and extremely effective process for experiencing breakthroughs and optimal wellness in your life.
Breathe with Rachel is an active breathing process that differs from most traditional meditation and mindfulness practices. This work is deeply experiential and may involve intense physical, energetic, and emotional release.
Persons with a history of any of the contraindications should consult their healthcare provider before participating in this work.

Medical Contraindications:
Conscious connected breathwork is not advised for persons with a history of Cardiovascular Disease, including Angina or Heart Attack, HighBlood Pressure, Glaucoma, Retinal Detachment, Osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries, and/or surgery should not participate in the Activity.
Persons with a history of severe Mental Illness, Bipolar Disorder or Psychosis, Seizure Disorders, or for persons using major medications, or persons who are under the influence of legal or illegal drugs to the extent that their capacity is impaired.
It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of Aneurysms.
Pregnant women are advised against practicing conscious connected breathwork.
Persons with Asthma are advised to bring their inhaler and consult with their GP and myself prior to attending the session.

WARRANTY AND CERTIFICATION
PARTICIPANT CERTIFIES THAT HE/SHE/THEY IS PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, AND MEDICALLY CAPABLE OF PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY AND SPECIFICALLY ASSUMES ALL RISKS ATTENDANT TO THE ACTIVITY.
PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE/SHE/THEY IS VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND PARTICIPANT IS PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT HIS/HER/THEIR OWN RISK.
PARTICIPANT ASSUMES ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN OR UNKNOWN TO PARTICIPANT, DUE TO HIS/HER PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY.
Participant acknowledges that this activity may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and may carry with it the potential for death or serious injury,
The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, lack of hydration, condition of participant, equipment, vehicular traffic and actions of others, including but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, facilitators, and producers of the event.
WAIVER & RELEASE
In consideration of the risk of injury while participating in the Activity, and as consideration for the right to participate in the Activity, the Participant hereby, for the Participant, his/her/their heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives, knowingly and voluntarily enters into this waiver and release of liability and hereby waives any and all rights, claims, or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of his/her/their participation in the Activity against Certified Breathwork Teacher
Rachel Ann Crookes (herein referred to as “Rachel Ann Crookes” “I,” or “me”).
Participant acknowledges that he/she/they has read and understood this Waiver and Release, its contents and impacts and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
Further, the Participant hereby releases and forever discharges Rachel Ann Crookes, for any physical or psychological injury, including but not limited to illness, paralysis, death, damages, economical or emotional loss that the Participant may suffer as a result
of participation in the aforementioned Activity, including any claims arising from the Participant performing the breathing technique learned or taught in class on your own at home. Participant accepts and agrees to this Waiver and Release willingly and freely.
In the event that Participant should require medical care or treatment, Participant agrees to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. Participant is aware and understands that Participant should carry his/her/their own health insurance. Participant, affirms that he/she/they is of the age of 18 years or older, and that Participant is competent to agree to these Terms and Conditions. Participant certifies that he/she/they has read these Terms andConditions, that Participant fully understands their content and that these Terms and Conditions cannot be modified orally.
MOVEMENT MEDICINE WITH SIÂN

Things to check:

Ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear when dancing at home.

Ensure your dancing space is safe. Where possible, move furniture out of the way to ensure you have ample space to move. We are aware that most participants will have limited room to move and as such, we will adapt our classes and pre-recorded activities as best as possible to allow for this.

Follow all advice given – while you may be taking part in a class or activity at home, we want you to keep as safe as possible. If you feel unwell, STOP - know your limits and listen to your body!

Do you have an adequate space to move comfortably, to undertake a movement activity safely? For example 2m x 2m?

Is your physical space warm and well-lit with the facility for it to be well ventilated?

Are there any trailing cables nearby that need to be moved away or tied up out of the way so they don’t present a trip hazard?

Is there anything hanging on your walls or from the ceiling that to may dislodge? E.g. pictures or ceiling light/lampshade?

Are all floor coverings within your dance space clear and without hazards e.g. remove loose rugs does carpet need taping down? Have you checked for loose floorboards or nails which are exposed?

Are you near a door or walkway where someone could knock into you?

Do you have a drink within easy reach to keep hydrated that is sealed to avoid spillages?

Is there another person within the house in case you have an injury? Or is your mobile phone on hand?

Do you have access to first aid supplies or equipment if required?

Have you ensured that there are no hot drinks in your space whilst carrying out movement work, to avoid spillage and burns?

Is your computer/laptop or mobile device secure so that it will not fall over and cause injury or hazard?
YOGA WITH BLANKA
Yoga is for everyone. However, especially when we practice online, it is up to each of you to take ownership of your practice and keep yourself safe. Our bodies are intelligent, and will let us know, usually by experiencing discomfort, when we are asking them to do what is not safe. Consider all my clues as an invitation and put your well-being first.
If you suffer from any specific injury or are managing a health condition it is your responsibility to consider whether or not this practice is right for you, and consult a specialist if you are not sure.
If you are pregnant but have an established practice, please do not join a general yoga class until you are at least 14 weeks; after this time follow the recommended practice for pregnancy. If you are new to yoga, I recommend you find a pre-natal yoga class to develop your practice.
I, Blanka Priddle, assume no responsibility for injuries suffered while participating in my classes, in studio or online.
ESSENTIAL OILS
Essential oils are highly concentrated, powerful liquids. Their potency must be respected, as they can be toxic if used incorrectly. Essential oils work holistically in supporting our own system of healing, recovery, stimulation, and regeneration. I may occasionally suggest a beneficial property of an essential oil, however, I make no medicinal claim for any essential oil. Similarly, no claims should be taken as intended or implied.
By attending one of my classes where we use essential oils, you accept full responsibility of your well-being; you recognise and accept the fact that that some essential oils may cause sensitivity in susceptible individuals and that I will not be held responsible for such occurrences. If you have any health problems or are taking any medication you should seek advice from your healthcare provider prior to using any essential oils.
The information on using essential oils during pregnancy wary, so, while I will be able to advise which oils you need to avoid during any particular class, I recommend talking to your healthcare practitioner to be sure. Please note that scent can affect you more strongly during pregnancy as your senses may be heightened, so avoid any essential oils if this is the case for you.
Many essential oils are flammable, never use or put your bottles of essential oil near a naked flame, fire, or any source of ignition. Take care to keep all essential oils out of reach for children.

BE CAREFUL
Some breathing exercises could trigger an unsafe reaction on people who have the following conditions:
pregnancy
epilepsy
hypertension
diabetes
aneurysm
heart disease
clinical anxiety
high eye pressure
panic disorder
bipolar disorder
psychosis
healing a serious physical wound (broken bone) recent surgery (last 6 weeks)
cardiovascular disease
If any of these apply to you, please be careful and gentle with yourself. I suggest you to breathe along gently, slowly and following your natural breath.
GUIDELINES
In case of contraindications (just mentioned before), please consult your doctor to check
if and what kind of breathwork is safe for you.
Experimental breathing exercises can produce powerful emotional and mental effects
changes in the body chemistry may cause tingling sensations, muscle contradictions, lightheadedness or changes in body temperature
powerful emotions may rise to the surface unexpectedly
changes in brainwaves may cause a deep state of meditation or a dreamlike state
know you are safe.
Go back to your natural breath whenever you feel like and
take care of yourself, you are in charge of your experience.
Plan some time after the session to integrate your experience, journal or rest for some more minutes before continuing your daily activity
take care to stay hydrated.

BE WELL PREPARED
Make sure you won’t be disturbed during the session. Mute all e-mail and other signals on your phone and devices, maybe use night mode for these approx. 60 minutes.
When joining the ZOOM meeting I welcome you leaving your camera on for a short HELLO and introduction. If you do not feel comfortable leaving it on the whole session you can switch it off for the breathing part and come back afterwards to say goodbye. I will also mention this in every session and tell you when you can switch it off and on again. Don’t worry - you will be guided.
Wear comfortable clothing and have a blanket or sweater and socks close by as you might feel cold during the session.
Create yourself a comfortable spot where you can enjoy some calmness for the session. It can be on you sofa, your bed, on a yoga mat, on a bolster/pillow or a comfortable chair - whatever feels good for you. There are no rules as long as you can enjoy sitting there for the whole session. If the weather is right for you and you enjoy being outside, enjoy your session somewhere outside.
Have some good quality water beside you, so you can have a sip whenever you feel you need some water.
Avoid caffein at least four hours before the breathwork session as this might influence your body and the positive effects of the session. Drink enough water during the day and after the session as your body will be detoxing after your practice and will eventually flood out toxins. So do not worry if you need to go to the toilet a little bit more often after breathwork. This is a good sign.
Avoid heavy food two hours before the breathwork session as this might influence your body and the positive effects of the session and you might feel nausea or need to throw up.
Please let me know in advance when you are pregnant or dealing with any serious health issues. Please always consult your professional medical service/doctor before joining my breathwork sessions and check with them if breathwork is ok for you.
Whenever you feel dizzy or uncomfortable during the session, just return to your normal breathing. Have a sip of water. If you feel like you have to lay flat on your back, do so. Usually with just pausing and letting the normal breath flow everything will be fine quickly and you can rejoin pretty soon.
If you are a spiritual person and love to, you can set a crystal next to you or any mojo or lucky charm you want to have around. This is not necessary, but optional. (If you have a pet/pets, don’t be surprised... It/they might join you as animals feel a relaxed atmosphere and love to rest in these good energy fields.)
